Staying in tonight? Here are some options for what to watch.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8pm EST) – It’s a repeat from January but it’s one where the dudes go on a road trip in costume.

Saturday Night Live Halloween (NBC, 8pm EST) – This special will be a compilation of some of your favorite Halloween sketches over the years. Spooky, scary. It should be pretty awesome.

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (ABC, 8pm EST) – Everyone’s favorite classic with a bonus animated short called, “You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown.” That doesn’t sound like too much of a bummer.

Elsewhere at 8pm EST, 28 Days Later is on BBC America, FX has Paranormal Activity 2, The Lost Boys is on VH1 and Ovation is airing The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

At 9pm EST, The Crazy Ones, Sean Saves the World and Grey’s Anatomy are all new.

FX Networks

It’s the day before Halloween and TV knows it. So, what’s on tonight?

Criminal Minds (CBS, 9pm EST) – The episode focuses on ritualistic murder that may have a connection to the Salem witch trials. Also, Garcia has a Day of the Dead party.

Law and Order: SVU (NBC, 9pm EST) – This is a repeat of the two hour season premiere. If you haven’t seen it, DVR it. Just be aware that the first hour is very intense and upsetting if you’re a Benson fan.

Modern Family (ABC, 9pm EST) – It’s a repeat of last year’s Halloween episode but it’s definitely worth watching again.

American Horror Story: Coven (FX, 10pm EST) – The fallout from last week’s episode makes this a must see. The Council of Witchcraft (and Frances Conroy) arrives at the school to investigate the events of last week.

South Park (Comedy Central, 10pm EST) – It’s an all new episode featuring the return of Ike and Yo Gabba Gabba. Intrigued? Me too. If you’re Twitter-inclined, tune your TV to Comedy Central at 9:30pm EST and your Twitter device of choice to @southpark for a live-tweet of last week’s episode, Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers.

On this week’s Supernatural, the dudes accidentally unleash the Wicked Witch of The West (yes, that one) while trying to hotwire the Men of Letters super computer to track angels. Ancient computers? Winchesters? Who you gonna call? Charlie Bradbury! Sorry, it’s almost Halloween. Couldn’t resist.

X-Men: Days of Future Past

The full trailer for X-Men Days of Future Past is finally here! Check it out below:

There’s a lot going on in this movie, which means it’ll be the best movie evar or kind of a mess. I’m a big fan of X-Men, time travel, paradoxes and Michael Fassbender though, so I think I’ll be just fine.

What about you? What are your thoughts on the first trailer?

Things to Watch on Netflix Instant Right Now

It’s almost Halloween so maybe you’re in the mood for a creepy, spooky, scary marathon. Here are some movies streaming right now on Netflix:

Cabin in the Woods – If you haven’t seen it, now’s the time. If you have seen it, now’s the time to watch it again.

Resident Evil – I’m talking the first one with the red dress, zombie dogs and lasers that slice and dice.

The Nightmare Before Christmas – What’s this? It’s streaming? Why, yes. Yes, it is.

Ghostbusters – The classics still hold true, which is part of the reason I lost $10 on a Ghostbusters slot machine this weekend.

Carrie – The original. The reason none of us misfit toys trusts when popular kids say we’ve won something.

Paranorman – I haven’t seen it yet but I’ve heard great things. If you haven’t seen it yet either, maybe it’s time to try something new this Halloween.

The Faculty – Definitely one of my all time favorites. Watch it again and remember the days when Jon Stewart was in movies. I still say he’s a good actor, even if he doesn’t think so.

Check out your Halloween recommendations on Netflix for more options, including Evil Dead, the Scream movies, Psycho, Slither, The Crow, Hellboy and much more.

On TV Tonight: Tuesday, October 29

What I’m watching tonight:

Agents of SHIELD – Tonight is a re-air of the pilot if you missed it or just need to spend some more time with Coulson and Lola. I feel the series got into a really good flow in the past two weeks. It’s still got a few more growing pains to go through but with Joss, Jed and Maurissa helping the series, I’m not concerned.

PS – Fitz and Simmons own my heart.

Supernatural – Tonight’s episode features Felicia Day, a Wizard of Oz theme and a nice shout out to us fans after the Supernatural title card. Have your remote ready to hit pause and look in the bottom left corner of The Winchesters of Oz. Jared Padalecki (@jarpad on Twitter) posted this image yesterday. It’s very sweet.

PS – This is me, eagerly awaiting Tahmoh Penikett’s return, whenever that may be.

Sons of Anarchy – After last week’s well done and heartbreaking Venus Van Dam episode, we can count on a left turn back to all the crap the club has been dealing with this season. Are you Team Gemma or Team Tara? I love Tara but I just can’t get with her endgame ever justifying what she did last week. When the truth about that eventually comes out, stand back.

PS – I got my Venus and Tig fix for the season in abundance so I can’t complain about anything that happens from here on out this year. Well, I shouldn’t. I reserve the right to riot after we see who’s left standing at the end of November.

That’s my lineup. What are you watching?
