It’s Saturday night and TV is mostly dead tonight. There’s no new SNL and unless you have HBO and can watch Beautiful Creatures at 8pm or are in for a Modern Family marathon on USA from 8-11:30pm, your options are slim. Never fear. That’s why you pay for Netflix streaming. Here are some new additions to the site you might want to check out.

Scenic Route – Josh Duhamel and Dan Fogler are virtually the only people in this suspenseful drama about two old friends stuck in the middle of nowhere. I caught this flick a few weeks ago and recommend it if you’re looking for a good character driven movie.

Robin Hood – Disney’s animated classic is available to you any time you want to see it. Catch it again if you haven’t seen it in a while or introduce your kids to it this weekend.

The Sword in the Stone – Disney offers up another classic but this one is grossly underrated. It’s got Merlin, a young apprentice, magic and squirrels. People that love this movie love it to death.

My Week With Marilyn – Michelle Williams takes a turn as Marilyn Monroe in a movie that documents a week in the filming of The Prince and the Showgirl. Kenneth Branagh plays Sir Laurence Olivier.

Red Dawn (2012) – Teenagers work together to protect their town from an outside invasion. This remake sports a pretty good cast with Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It’s perfect viewing you never wanted to pay for but halfway wanted to see.

The Following Fox’s creepy serial killer series starring Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy returns with all new episodes on January 19th. So, if you wanted to try it out or just need a refresher before the second season starts, Netflix has all 15 episodes for you.

The Breakfast Club – Seriously, this classic should need no introduction. It’s perfect for a Saturday night or background viewing while you’re cleaning. Make sure you remember to look up during the big 80s library dancefest.

What are you watching tonight?
